Welcome to Troop 81 Tulsa!

                                                                                                  

 

Troop and Crew 81 of Tulsa, OK, chartered by St. Pius X Catholic Church, is one of the most distinguished troops in the Indian Nations Council. Since being chartered in 1958, Troop 81 has gone on countless outings, helped many people through service, and has had 120 Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.  If you would like to volunteer or make a donation please either contact the Scoutmaster or the St. Plus X parish office.  We meet Tuesday night's at 7:00 PM in the SPX school cafeteria.  Guests and past members are always welcome to stop in.

Reminder for Sunday

Two events take place tomorrow, Sunday December 10.  Cameron Mendoza has his Eagle project at Catholic Charities from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.  We will also be delivering wood from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM.  Meet at St. Pius X at 2:45 for wood deliveries.  Be sure to wear appropriate clothing for both events.  Meeting on Tuesday night at 7:00 PM.  The Troop Christmas party is next Saturday, 12/16 at SPX.  The PLC decided to have everyone bring a dessert and a wrapped gift ($10 limit) for a White Elephant.  Please be sure to sign up on the troop website for events.  Trappers Rendevous signups are needed by Tuesday night.  We will plan on leaving SPX at 4:30 PM on Friday, January 12th for Trappers.  It is time to start gathering your item for trade at Trappers.  Recharter payments to the troop will be due at the January 16th meeting.  Recharter fees are: Youth with Boys Life Magazine: $115.00, Youth w/o Boys Life: $105.00, Order of the Arrow members $20.00 (on top of any other fees).  Adults Members $50.  If you have a question on the balance of your Scout account please email Jill Cole at chillybskt@cox.net. 

Cameron Mendoza Eagle Project

Cameron's project will be on Sunday this week due to scheduling with Catholic Charities.  It is currently scheduled for 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

Troop Committee and PLC meeting this week.  Committee at 6:30 followed by PLC at 7:30. Eagle project this weekend at Catholic Charities Saturday.  Contact Cameron Mendoza with any questions. The troop Christmas party will be Saturday December 16th at SPX.

Tomorrow's meeting

Good evening, tomorrow night will be a regular meeting. We need to plan for this weekends campout. If you have popcorn money to turn in it is due tomorrow night at the meeting. Please bring it with you tomorrow. 

Important Date for 2017 Eagle Scouts

The Indian Nations Council will have the Annual Eagle and Silver Beaver Awards Ceremony on Saturday, February 8, 2018.  All Scouts earning their Eagle in 2017 will be recognized at this event.  The cost of the event is paid for by the council for the Eagle Scout, additional attendee's are $40 per person.  Troop 81 had a very busy year in 2017, as of today we have had six scouts earn their Eagle rank in 2017 and should have another in December!  Congratulations to all!!!!  Please see the attached form for the banquet.  The leadership of the troop would love to see you all there.  Registration can be done online at http://www.okscouts.org/events/council-banquet (if so please note other Troop 81 Eagles on your registration, if you would like to sit with other Troop members).  If you have any questions please let me (Mr. Kissel) or Mr. Johnson know. 

Weekend Activities

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  If you are in town and have some spare time on Saturday we will be splitting wood at Zach Meyer's house in Jenks (908 N. Juniiper, Jenks, OK) beginning at 9:00 AM.  We will also be dleivering our first orders of firewood once we have finished splitting wood.  If you are able to help out it would be greatly appreciated.  This years firewood sales will include funding to aid in Philmont scholarships for our upcoming Trek in 2018 for those that pariticipate in the firewood.  We will meet Tuesday night at 7:00 PM.
